TechFlow News: On February 5, according to jaosef.eth, co-founder of Aztec, the AZTEC token will enable transfers starting February 12, 2026, at 07:00 UTC. Last week, an AZTEC community vote—participated in by over 4,500 sequencers—approved the Token Generation Event (TGE). At that time, tokens obtained via the CCA auction, Uniswap V4 liquidity pools, and block rewards will become freely transferable.
The AZTEC Foundation has opted for a public sale priced in ETH, reflecting its long-term strategic alliance with Ethereum. The initial token price was determined via auction at 1 AZTEC = 0.00001551 ETH. AZTEC is positioned as Ethereum’s privacy layer; its token, staking, and governance are all deployed on the Ethereum mainnet, and each AZTEC block consumes L1 resources.
