TechFlow News, January 14 — According to The Block, prediction market platform Noise has raised $7.1 million in seed funding led by Paradigm. Noise is a prediction-market-style platform allowing users to bet on the ongoing relevance of social media topics, described as a "stock market for trends."
This round includes previously unannounced pre-seed capital from Figment Capital and Anagram, along with participation from strategic investors including GSR, JPEG Trading, and KaitoAI. Noise launched its testnet last May, attracting over 1,300 users who traded across 14 attention-based markets.
Gabriel Perez Carafa, co-founder and CEO of Noise, said the team is preparing to launch its mainnet in the coming months on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2 network. Unlike traditional prediction markets, Noise uses a "continuous" design that measures how trends evolve over time, rather than offering binary outcomes based on specific-date events.
