TechFlow news, January 7th, Morph announced the launch of a Payment Accelerator program with a scale of $150 million. This initiative aims to support payment companies, financial institutions, and payment infrastructure teams in bringing existing, operational, production-level payment activities on-chain and further achieving scalable expansion.
Morph stated that payments have become one of the fastest-growing and most practical application scenarios for blockchain adoption. However, in areas such as cross-border settlements and fund clearing, existing payment infrastructures still face issues like long settlement cycles, fragmented systems, and liquidity occupation. The Payment Accelerator will focus on supporting vertical network domains such as crypto cards, cross-border remittances, and payment gateways. It will provide participating teams with settlement infrastructure tailored to real transaction volumes, incentives linked to verifiable on-chain activities, as well as funding and liquidity support for launch and scaling.
Morph indicated that within the Morph network, BGB is used as the Gas and governance token. The growth in payment scale will remain aligned with the network's settlement and participation mechanisms. Currently, Morph has initiated collaborations with the first batch of payment operators and has officially opened applications for the Payment Accelerator.
