TechFlow news, December 10 — According to a CNBC survey, 84% of respondents believe President Trump will appoint Kevin Hassett, Chairman of the National Economic Council, as the next Federal Reserve Chair, but only 11% think this would be the right choice.
The survey found that 47% of respondents prefer Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller, and 23% support Kevin Warsh, yet only 5% believe Trump would choose either of them. Concerns about Hassett primarily focus on his commitment to the Fed's dual mandate and its independence.
