TechFlow news, November 27 — According to Bithumb exchange, on November 27, 2025, South Korea's cryptocurrency exchange Upbit experienced a major incident involving abnormal outflows of virtual assets, with large amounts of crypto assets being transferred irregularly to external wallets.
Due to this hacking incident, Upbit has suspended all deposit and withdrawal services for virtual assets. Bithumb stated that, based on Article 17, Clause 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the "Virtual Asset User Protection Act," it will suspend withdrawal requests to the exchange until Upbit resumes its withdrawal services.
Bithumb emphasized in its announcement that all of its own services are currently operating normally, with no impact on deposits, withdrawals, trading, or storage services.
