TechFlow news, November 23 — According to Dlnews, Pablo Sabbatella, a member of the Security Alliance (SEAL) and founder of Web3 auditing firm opsek, revealed that North Korean agents have infiltrated approximately 15–20% of cryptocurrency companies, and 30–40% of job applications in the crypto industry may originate from North Korean operatives. These agents circumvent international sanctions and obtain legitimate identities by recruiting citizens from third countries as "frontmen." Data from the U.S. Department of the Treasury shows that North Korean hackers have stolen over $3 billion in cryptocurrencies over the past three years, funds used to support the country's nuclear weapons program. Sabbatella noted that the crypto industry "may be the worst in operational security across the entire computer industry," making it an ideal target for attacks.
