TechFlow news, November 3 — According to Decrypt, South Australian police arrested 55 suspects and filed approximately 800 new charges during the third phase of "Operation Ironside," involving drug trafficking, weapons, and criminal conspiracy. This operation is part of a joint investigation by the Australian Federal Police and the FBI, leveraging AN0M, an encrypted app secretly controlled by the FBI, to gather intelligence on criminal networks. The High Court recently ruled that intercepted encrypted messages can be admitted as evidence in court, providing legal support for this large-scale crackdown. During the investigation, about USD 37.9 million in cryptocurrency assets have been seized. Europol simultaneously warned that cryptocurrency-related criminal methods are becoming increasingly sophisticated.
