TechFlow news, October 9 — According to Fortune, CipherOwl, a cryptocurrency compliance startup founded by former employees of Coinbase and Cruise, announced today it has raised $15 million in seed funding.
The round was led by venture capital firms General Catalyst and Flourish Ventures, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Enlight Capital, and others.
CipherOwl provides cryptocurrency transaction monitoring software for banks and fintech companies, helping institutions identify suspicious transactions and ensure regulatory compliance. The company was founded in 2024 by Leo Liang and Ming Jiang, who previously worked together at autonomous vehicle startup Cruise and cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.
