Deribit by Coinbase and SignalPlus jointly launch the 5th trading competition "The Island", with a total prize pool of up to 600,000 USDC. The competition runs from July 6 to August 10, and participants must complete options and futures trading on Deribit via SignalPlus.

Deribit by Coinbase, through its broker-dealer DRB Panama Inc., and leading provider of crypto derivatives software and infrastructure solutions SignalPlus, today announced the launch of The Island. This is the fifth trading competition between the two parties and the largest to date.
The competition lasts for 35 days, with a prize pool of up to 600,000 USDC, covering individual and team competitions, daily and weekly reward rounds, a Mystery Box deposit mechanism, short-dated options challenges, and the Private Island jackpot.
The Island opens for registration on June 29 at 08:00 UTC, with the competition running from July 6 at 08:00 UTC to August 10 at 23:59 UTC. Users must trade on Deribit via SignalPlus to participate. Competition rankings are calculated based solely on eligible options and futures trading volume, with options weighted at 1.0 and futures weighted at 0.5.
The event is designed around 11 core arenas, covering weekly volume competitions, daily reward cycles, team participation, referral-driven growth, whale and block trade incentives, and dynamic ecosystem progress, forming an interconnected complete experience. New mechanisms this edition include the Mystery Box deposit experience, weekly PnL leaderboards, short-dated options reward multipliers, and the Flash Arena. In the Flash Arena, higher short-dated options volume unlocks more jackpot draw opportunities and reward chances.
