AB Charity Foundation Launches, Exploring a New Global Philanthropy Paradigm of "Institutional Trust + Technology-Driven"
The AB Charity Foundation aims to collaborate with global governments, nonprofit organizations, and technical communities to reshape the future trust mechanism of public welfare and advance sustainable development.

Recently, AB Charity Foundation officially announced its launch and unveiled its new website at www.ab.org, marking the beginning of a global philanthropic network built on "institutional trust" and driven by technology. Headquartered in Ireland as an independent international nonprofit organization, AB Charity Foundation aims to collaborate with governments, nonprofits, and tech communities worldwide to reshape future mechanisms of charitable trust and advance sustainable development.
The governance structure of AB Charity Foundation is composed of political leaders from multiple countries. The Board is chaired by Bertie Ahern, former three-term Prime Minister of Ireland and key architect of the Northern Ireland Peace Agreement, with board members including former Maltese Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, former Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Medgyessy, former Slovenian President Danilo Türk, and former Bulgarian President Petar Stoyanov.
AB Charity Foundation is continuously assembling a senior advisory team, with prominent politicians, scientists, and public figures from five continents expected to join sequentially, providing global policy coordination and on-the-ground support for the foundation’s initiatives. Focused on public mission, it seeks to empower a new paradigm of global philanthropy through technology.
As the founding and technical support entity behind AB Charity Foundation, AB DAO provides the underlying blockchain infrastructure. The AB public chain automatically allocates 15%–30% of gas fees from every transaction into a charitable fund pool, enabling end-to-end transparent governance via "on-chain donations + automated distribution + fully traceable records + third-party auditing." Additionally, the AB Ecosystem Fund has already invested in dozens of high-quality projects and will continue incubating and investing in more such ventures. Going forward, 15%–30% of investment returns generated by these projects will also be directed into the AB Charity Foundation fund pool.
The core mission of AB Charity Foundation is to advance public causes globally—including education, healthcare, environmental protection, and humanitarian aid—by leveraging transparent, trustworthy governance frameworks and technological innovation to explore a “verifiable model of collaborative goodwill.” The foundation emphasizes that “it is not any single technology that changes the world, but rather consensus around trusted institutions and global cooperation”—a shared belief among its founding members.
