Dialogue with HTX Partner Episode 10丨Founder KyeGomezB Analyzes $swarms and the Current State and Future Trends of AI Agents
At the beginning of 2025, the AI Agent sector continued its rapid surge, with $swarms emerging as a dark horse, reaching a market cap of up to $480 million and drawing widespread market attention.

Recently, Huobi HTX launched the tenth episode of its new series "Dialogue with HTX Partners." In this episode, KyeGomezB—the founder of $swarms, HTX's research and investment team, and 0xLeon discussed the explosive rise of $swarms and emerging trends in the AI Agent sector under the theme: “AI AGENT Sector Booming—HTX Assets Surge Up to 8844%—Learn How HTX Helps You Seize Wealth Opportunities!”
At the start of 2025, the AI Agent sector continues its rapid ascent, with two major ecosystems—ai16z and Virtual—achieving market caps exceeding $2 billion and $5 billion respectively, setting new historical highs. $swarms has emerged as a dark horse, reaching a peak market cap of $480 million and drawing widespread market attention.
Swarms is a multi-agent collaboration framework whose core lies in providing a foundational "framework" component along with functionalities such as long-term memory and task decomposition. This enables multiple AI agents to seamlessly collaborate within the same network to break down and handle complex tasks. As KyeGomezB explained during the livestream: “Swarms can fetch real-time data from APIs. For example, give it a cryptocurrency name, and it retrieves all relevant data including order books, prices, and other metrics. Essentially, these agents communicate with each other about information on that coin and all indicators over the past 24 hours. It’s simple to use—and really cool.”
The Birth of Swarms
Huobi HTX: The momentum behind $swarms is building rapidly. What initially inspired you to develop this project?
KyeGomezB: I've been involved in AI research for many years. When ChatGPT first came out, everyone thought it was amazing. However, ChatGPT has several key issues: 1) Hallucination—ChatGPT will inevitably generate inaccurate information if used continuously, which remains a persistent problem; 2) Memory limitations—ChatGPT has a fixed context window; and 3) Precision issues.
These problems fundamentally hinder enterprise adoption of generative AI because such models can only solve one problem at a time. But enterprises don’t want to automate just one task—they aim to solve multiple ones. We realized that by enabling multiple AI models to work together, we could overcome these limitations. This would allow AI to be truly scalable within enterprises. That’s how we first discovered the concept of multi-agent collaboration—multiple AIs working together are far more effective than a single AI operating alone.
Current Status and Future Development of Swarms
Huobi HTX: The overall market is currently in a correction phase. What barriers do you think Swarms is facing now, and what solutions are being developed?
KyeGomezB: One reason for the current market pullback might be manipulation by large institutions or funds trying to secure better entry prices before Trump takes office. If Trump fulfills his promises regarding the crypto market, it could trigger the biggest bull run in history.
For Swarms, our current goal is to expand the ecosystem as much as possible and provide a wide range of payment APIs and products.
Huobi HTX: How is Swarms progressing at the moment, and what are the next steps?
KyeGomezB: The Swarms Wallet API is essentially complete. Right now, we're focused on ensuring it's extremely secure and reliable. Once testing is finalized, we’ll announce it as soon as possible—hopefully this week. We’re currently running simulations with agents conducting dozens of attack scenarios to ensure no one can breach it. Additionally, we plan to integrate $swarms token payments into our marketplace.
We’re designing a program for other marketplaces and AI startups so they can integrate $swarms as a payment method. For instance, we’re developing a “one-click payment link” that allows anyone to easily embed $swarms payments into their website. At the same time, we’re building additional payment infrastructure. This constitutes the first phase of Swarms.
Phase Two: Launch an Agent Token Exchange where users can issue tokens or tokenize their own agents—similar to a decentralized exchange.
Users can assign tasks to agents, and the exchange will verify agent performance. Then, agents can be tokenized for others to use, generating income for the creators. Transactions using $swarms tokens will be fast and secure.
Phase Three: Introduce automatic fiat conversion functionality. Users will be able to purchase $swarms tokens with fiat currencies like USD or INR, or convert $swarms back into fiat.
Our ultimate goal is to build agents capable of solving real-world problems across industries such as healthcare, insurance, finance, and manufacturing—such as trading agents, insurance agents, and manufacturing agents. We focus on long-term value and aim to make organizations increasingly automated until every company achieves full automation—not just creating entertainment-driven “Meme” projects.
Market Outlook and Trends for AI Agents
Huobi HTX: Within the Web3 narrative, how can AI Agents break through monopolies held by Western elites? How can AI Agents better land in fields like finance, lending, and healthcare?
KyeGomezB: AI is perfectly suited for finance—it can analyze real-time data on cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, index funds, etc. This is a natural starting point. I’m also very bullish on medical agents, which is why we’re building MCS (Medical Swarm). I believe decentralized healthcare could save billions of dollars and millions of lives.
Insurance is another significant area—automating claims analysis and processing. I’d also love to see Swarms applied in agriculture, as the global population grows and food demand increases. I believe AI can fully automate entire farms.
Manufacturing is another domain, particularly moving toward customization. We’ll build highly specialized applications on top of Swarms, enabling deep customization for specific industries. Take MCS as an example—it must prioritize medical data security since any data breach or hack could have catastrophic consequences. Therefore, MCS is designed from day one to comply with healthcare industry security standards. Other sectors will have similar requirements, and we’ll develop dedicated Swarm systems tailored to each industry’s unique needs, supporting customized features and integrations.
Huobi HTX: Recently, HTX has listed numerous new assets related to the AI narrative. In January’s performance report, some HTX-listed assets surged up to 8844%. From a user perspective, how can one capture such massive gains?
HTX Research & Investment Team: The AI sector is one of our key focus areas, but selecting the right investment targets remains challenging. Many of the tokens that achieved significant gains were already listed on HTX early on. These assets often experience substantial volatility along the way, so the key is holding firm and not being swayed by short-term market fluctuations. I believe conviction leads to resilience. If you believe in the potential and opportunities of the AI sector or a particular token, it becomes easier to stay patient and hold through market swings.
0xLeon: Short-term analysis is crucial, and we continue refining our trading tools. In the long term, fundamentals drive decisions—but the space is still relatively chaotic. How to effectively integrate this new form of productivity with existing industries and create synergistic effects will be a key highlight to watch in 2025.
