Today, Web3Go announced its official rebranding to DIN, marking a significant milestone in their journey within the blockchain world. DIN aims to help global users better understand and apply AI and data technologies, drive the widespread implementation of AI-native applications on blockchain, and further catalyze innovation in the AI data space.
Over the past two years, DIN (formerly Web3Go) has achieved notable success. In the AI data domain, DIN (formerly Web3Go) is currently the first modular AI-native layer focused on data preprocessing—including data collection, validation, and vectorization.
In early April this year, DIN officially launched its first AI data collection node infrastructure, xData, on opBNB. Since its launch, xData has operated smoothly for over a month, with consistently high engagement from the global community. To date, xData has attracted more than 200,000 unique users and collected over 10 million pieces of AI data. Additionally, xData has been adopted by more than 20 ecosystems and projects not only for AI data collection but also for social media growth.
Why Rebrand?
The name "Web3Go" reflected the team’s mission to introduce cutting-edge Web3 products and services. However, as the term "Web3" has cooled over the past two years while the AI narrative gained prominence starting in 2023, "Web3Go" has clearly become outdated.
On one hand, despite being concise and direct, the name lacks clarity in meaning. While it highlights the team's focus on blockchain technology, it fails to reflect their new positioning around building a "Data Intelligence Network" based on AI—a shift that began in July 2023 when they transitioned from being an on-chain data service provider to focusing on AI data.
On the other hand, "Web3Go" is sufficiently focused yet too narrow—it emphasizes product and service development but no longer captures their ambition to expand infrastructure and network-building as they evolve into a broader ecosystem.
Moreover, since positioning themselves as a Data Intelligence Network, they have made steady progress in product development and marketing across new domains. For example, they developed Reiki—an AI Data Consumer platform designed to create specialized AI Agents using data. Despite launching just over half a year ago, Reiki already boasts more than 150,000 daily active users. They’ve also introduced new concepts like "AIFi" and "DeDIN", collaborating with various ecosystems, projects, communities, and KOLs through diverse co-marketing campaigns and events, establishing strong partnerships in the AI data field.
Overall, the functions and services provided by "Web3Go" can no longer be adequately represented by the term "Web3". The original name risks causing unnecessary confusion, necessitating a comprehensive brand overhaul.
Why Choose DIN?
After deciding to rebrand, the team conducted multiple internal brainstorming sessions and ultimately settled on the new name "DIN".
"DIN" originates from their strategic direction since 2023: Data Intelligence Network. They had already used "DIN" in various contexts—for instance, their ambassador program uses "GoDIN" as the ambassador code name, the core feature of xData uses "GoDIN" for users to store tweets, and they created event series such as "DeDIN". The crypto community and their own user base are already familiar with the term, so they believe it's best to continue using it rather than introducing a completely new word.
"DIN" can also be interpreted as "a loud sound". They hope this definition reflects their goal: to make a significant impact in the AI data domain.
Their logo, inspired by the shape of the letter "I" and a funnel, symbolizes DIN’s core value: providing a space for AI data preprocessing.
DIN’s Vision: “Cooking” Data for AI and Earning Rewards
Since its founding in 2021, DIN (formerly Web3Go) has been committed to making data more accessible and user-friendly. To achieve this, they were among the earliest companies in the industry to offer an on-chain data platform, meeting the needs of ecosystems and analysts who monitor and analyze data across different chains and projects. Their strong execution and cash flow generation are demonstrated by their ongoing provision of on-chain data services for Polkadot, Moonbeam, BNB Chain, and Manta Network.
For over two years, DIN (formerly Web3Go) has overcome challenges and achieved key milestones. In July 2023, with the launch of the AIFi Summer campaign, they announced their formal transition from an on-chain data service provider to a Data Intelligence Network. Their seed round funding was officially announced at that time, led by Binance Labs and other prominent VCs. In September of the same year, they announced their brand trinity and launched the AI Agent platform Reiki, emphasizing their focus on data, AI, and community. In April 2024, they released the new product xData, enabling users to collect off-chain data—marking the beginning of their next phase.
