Azeem Khan, a prominent figure in crypto philanthropy and former Chief Impact Officer at Gitcoin, has joined Layer2 Morph as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. This marks a pivotal step for Morph in driving blockchain's mainstream adoption and expanding Web3's global influence.
Azeem Khan is a serial entrepreneur and crypto investor widely recognized for his philanthropic contributions to the crypto space. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Crypto Sustainability Coalition, dedicated to integrating blockchain technology with sustainable development. Azeem also contributes to the Future of Global Fintech initiative, playing a key role in shaping the future of financial technology worldwide. The nonprofit Giving Block named him one of the “Top Figures in Crypto Philanthropy 2023.” At Gitcoin, he played a crucial role in fundraising, helping secure over $60 million in grants for the organization and generating more than $29 billion in global financial impact.
During his tenure at Gitcoin, Azeem pioneered the use of quadratic funding, a novel democratic crowdfunding mechanism. His efforts benefited major organizations such as UNICEF, the American Cancer Society, and Shell, demonstrating his ability to bring cutting-edge fundraising solutions to the forefront of Web3.
