Weirdo Ghost Gang teams up with 500+ well-known brand stores to launch a special event in Shanghai
The "City Party Map Shanghai Station," co-hosted by Weirdo Ghost Gang and CutUp, a fashion brand under ManesLAB, will officially launch on September 10.
On September 8, the renowned Chinese-speaking NFT project Weirdo Ghost Gang (WGG) officially announced that its co-hosted event "City Party Map · Shanghai Station," organized together with CutUp—a trendy brand under its parent company ManesLAB—will officially launch on September 10. From September 10 to 30, the event will collaborate with dozens of well-known brands across more than 500 offline stores. Participants can enjoy exclusive limited-time benefits and WGG co-branded products while experiencing one of the most beautiful early autumn City Walks.
The event features a wide range of partner categories, including ice cream, desserts, hotels, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, idol performances, wellness spas, and more. Over a hundred establishments—from large chain brands to independent Shanghai boutiques—are participating, including DQ, Papa John's, KUMO KUMO, Mantsai Desserts, Jiujiuya, and Citadines Residence.

How to better integrate Web3 into real-life experiences has always been an area of exploration for ManesLAB, the parent company of Weirdo Ghost Gang (WGG). For this event, the ManesLAB team leveraged its developed Web3 middleware, MID, to enable Web3 identity verification, connecting it with CutUp’s WeChat mini-program. This allows users to access certain Web3 functionalities through their most frequently used social app, seamlessly joining the event. Participants are categorized into three tiers based on “whether they hold any NFT,” and “whether they hold a Weirdo Ghost Gang NFT”: “General User,” “Web3er,” and “Weirdo Ghost Holder.” Each tier receives corresponding benefits. Even users who do not hold a WGG NFT—or any NFT at all—can still participate.
Exclusive discounts offered by partner brands in this "City Party Map · Shanghai Station" have been highly popular among consumers: for example, seven DQ flagship stores in Shanghai offer “Buy One Get One Free on Large Blizzard Treats,” local coffee chain Double Win Coffee provides “Second Cup for Just +1 Yuan,” all Jiujiuya stores in Shanghai offer “15% Off Entire Store,” and all mainland locations of Mantsai Desserts provide “Half-Price on Second Mango Pomelo Sago dessert.” More offers can be explored and discovered on the CutUp mini-program map.
Below are tutorials for linking your Web3 identity with the CutUp WeChat mini-program under different scenarios. Follow the instructions to participate in the event and enjoy various benefits.
How to Link MID to Unlock Web3er/Ghost Coupons
If you are an NFT holder and wish to claim or use “Web3er coupons” or “Ghost coupons” within the mini-program, you must connect and authorize your MID account to verify eligibility. Users can complete the MID authorization binding according to the following four scenarios:
For the best wallet-binding experience, ManesLAB recommends completing wallet binding via the desktop web version of MID.
Scenario A: No CutUp Account, No MID Account
-
Go to CutUp official website and register an account using your email address.
-
Then visit MID official website, register a MID account using the same email as your CutUp account, and refer to the guides "Creating a MID Account" and "Wallet Binding Tutorial" to bind your digital wallet.
-
Open the mini-program—log in via email, or log in using WeChat quick login and then bind your CutUp account.

This marks the first large-scale offline event led by an NFT project. It not only signifies greater visibility for Weirdo Ghost Gang, CutUp, and ManesLAB but also indicates a growing effort to bring Web3 into real life using compliance-friendly approaches suited to the Chinese market. The convergence of culture, technology, and economics will inevitably offer broader, more inclusive perspectives, transforming Web3 from a mysterious concept into tangible applications woven into urban life—connecting people through brands, linking individuals to value through products, and enriching human experience through real-world scenarios.
