TRON will lead the development of the Caribbean's first digital identity initiative, including building the Dominica Metaverse and operating the Dominica Digital Identity (DDID) and the National Token of Dominica (DMC) projects.
This partnership ushers in a new chapter for metaverse innovation, demonstrating Dominica’s potential to lead technological advancement. Groundbreaking metaverse technologies are poised to reshape daily life and business operations in the coming years. Recognizing digital identity as a core component of Web 3.0, TRON will actively oversee, implement, and promote the DDID and DMC initiatives.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit of the Commonwealth of Dominica stated, “The Dominica Digital Identity project is our first major Web 3.0 initiative since the enactment of the Crypto-Currency Act last year, representing a significant milestone.
