TechFlow, September 15 — According to Jinshi Data, the London Stock Exchange Group has announced the launch of a blockchain-based digital market infrastructure platform, initially focusing on private equity funds, marking the exchange operator's official entry into the digital assets space.
As announced on Monday, MembersCap has used the platform to complete fundraising for its tokenized fund, MCM Fund 1. The UK-regulated digital securities exchange Archax served as the nominee holder.
By leveraging blockchain technology, the LSE Group aims to enhance efficiency in private markets—a sector increasingly seen as a ripe testing ground for digital transformation. While the current platform is only open to private equity funds, the group plans to expand to other asset classes in the future.
