TechFlow, August 25 — According to Zhitong Caijing, the General Office of the Central Committee of the CPC and the General Office of the State Council have issued opinions on promoting green and low-carbon transformation and strengthening the construction of the national carbon market.
The opinions emphasize strengthening full-process supervision of carbon emissions data quality. Key emitting entities must be held accountable for their carbon accounting and reporting obligations, and enterprises should be encouraged to establish and improve internal management systems for carbon emissions data quality.
Local ecological environment and market regulation departments, together with relevant authorities, should strengthen day-to-day oversight of carbon emissions data, making comprehensive use of technologies such as big data, blockchain, and the Internet of Things to enhance supervisory capabilities. Efforts to investigate and punish violations shall be intensified, and fraudulent activities shall be severely cracked down upon.
