TechFlow news, August 24 — According to Cointelegraph, the Ethereum-based gaming Layer 3 Xai has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI, alleging trademark infringement and unfair competition. The suit was filed on Thursday in the Northern District of California, claiming that Musk's xAI has harmed Xai's brand.
Ex Populus, the Delaware-based company behind Xai, stated it has been using the XAI trademark in U.S. commerce since June 2023, including through its blockchain gaming ecosystem and XAI token. The complaint called this "a classic trademark infringement case requiring judicial intervention."
