TechFlow news, on August 24, according to the Snapshot voting page, StargateDAO members approved LayerZero's acquisition of Stargate (STG) with nearly 95% in favor. STG token holders will be able to convert their tokens into ZRO on the stargate.finance platform starting Monday.
Stargate, previously a core liquidity hub in the cross-chain space, primarily focused on cross-chain bridging, token expansion, and stablecoin operations. Following the acquisition, LayerZero plans to rapidly launch a full financial infrastructure suite via Stargate, including token swaps and treasury management.
