TechFlow, on August 22, according to The Block, the U.S. House of Representatives has added anti-Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) regulatory provisions to a defense bill that must be passed.
The provision, known as the "Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act," was previously introduced by House Majority Whip Tom Emmer as a standalone bill. Earlier this summer, the full House passed the bill by a vote of 219 to 210, aiming to prohibit the Federal Reserve from issuing central bank digital currencies directly to individuals.
