TechFlow news, on August 2, MEET48—the world's first AIUGC and fan economy ecosystem community dedicated to the entertainment sector—will host the 1st WEB3.0 All-Community Annual Idol Popularity Audition & Ceremony (WIPA) at AsiaWorld–Arena in Hong Kong, China. In collaboration with China's major youth female group SNH48 GROUP, the event introduces blockchain mechanisms into the idol selection system, offering top-ranked real and AI-Agent virtual idols exclusive rewards such as solo singles, overseas stages, and game endorsements.
The WIPA event is exclusively titled by "AuditionsGO," an AIUGC virtual idol music-dance development simulation game developed by the original operating team behind the globally popular "Audition Dance Battle." Jacky Wu will make a high-profile appearance as a guest presenter. Performances will be delivered by Super Junior-D&E, Sandara Park, MIYAVI, Siba Family artist Xu Jiaqi, and Yuan Yiqi—the first-place winner of SNH48's 11th General Election. Ko Kao-feng, Lu Tingyu, and Sonia Sui will serve as hosts.
Final voting for WIPA officially concluded on August 2 at 02:00 UTC, with results announced live at AsiaWorld–Arena in Hong Kong, China. As of one week before the WIPA countdown, over 48.25 million IDOL tokens had been contributed to WIPA, accounting for 1.01% of the total IDOL supply, setting a historic record in the Web3 entertainment space.
