TechFlow news, July 23 — Bybit has announced a strategic partnership with Cactus Custody, Asia’s leading compliant digital asset custodian under Matrixport, to launch an OTC settlement solution via the Cactus Oasis platform. This collaboration aims to enhance institutional clients’ asset security, capital efficiency, and operational control, with the service scheduled to go live on July 28, 2025.
The partnership enables customers to trade without pre-funding their Bybit accounts. Collateral assets are held by Cactus Custody in regulated, segregated environments and are only transferred upon settlement, reducing counterparty risk while ensuring market liquidity.
Cactus Oasis facilitates cross-platform asset management through a “buffer account” model, offering dual authorization, customizable approval and settlement workflows, and KYC/KYB/KYT compliance support. It features a bank-grade security infrastructure, including HSM encryption and layered cold and hot wallet storage. Cactus Custody holds a TCSP license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and has obtained Deloitte-verified SOC 1 Type 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 certifications, meeting key compliance requirements for mainstream institutions.
Shunyet Jan, Head of Institutional Business at Bybit, stated that the collaboration strengthens secure trading environments and optimizes liquidity management. Wendy Jiang, General Manager of Cactus Custody, said the integration addresses institutional demand for secure custody and efficient settlement, advancing the upgrade of digital asset trading infrastructure. Both parties are committed to building compliant and transparent infrastructure to empower institutional investors across Asia-Pacific and globally to participate more deeply in digital asset markets. Going forward, Bybit will continue enhancing its institutional service ecosystem to drive global digital finance development.
