TechFlow news, July 4 — According to The Block, Bitkraft Ventures and Brevan Howard Digital today announced jointly leading a $30.5 million funding round for Distinct Possibility Studios. The studio is led by John Smedley, co-founder of "EverQuest," who previously held executive roles at Amazon Game Studios and Sony Online Entertainment and contributed to the creation of well-known games such as "Planetside 2" and "H1Z1."
The funding will support the development and launch of the AAA open-world shooter game "Reaper Actual." The game is set to release on Steam and the Epic Games Store, combining MMORPG and FPS elements, where players will engage in PvPvE battles, territory control, and resource management on an island called Marova.
