TechFlow, June 10 — According to Protos, Bitcoin core developers plan to release version 30 of the Bitcoin Core software in October this year. This update will stop filtering OP_RETURN outputs containing large amounts of non-financial data. The change will increase the default data carrier limit from the current 80 bytes to nearly 4MB, while allowing node operators to manually adjust the -datacarrier and -datacarriersize parameters.
