TechFlow news, June 7 — On June 6, 2025, the DeFi protocol ALEX built on Stacks was attacked due to a vulnerability in its token listing verification logic, resulting in multiple asset pools being drained. The total loss reached $8.373 million, including 8.4 million STX (approximately $5.69 million), 21.85 sBTC (approximately $2.24 million), 149,000 USDC/USDT, and 2.8 WBTC (approximately $287,000).
The ALEX Lab Foundation has committed to fully compensating all affected users in USDC. Notification of the compensation process will be sent to affected wallets by June 8. Users must submit their claims by June 10, and payouts will be completed within seven business days after verification.
