TechFlow news, May 22 — According to CNBC, tech giants OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, and Cisco today announced a collaboration to build the UAE's "Stargate UAE" artificial intelligence campus. Located in Abu Dhabi, the project will span 10 square miles and have a total power capacity of 5 gigawatts.
Under the agreement, OpenAI and Oracle will manage a 1-gigawatt computing cluster built by UAE-based company G42, with Nvidia providing chip support, and Cisco and SoftBank handling connectivity infrastructure. The first 200-megawatt AI cluster is expected to go online next year.
"Artificial intelligence is the most transformative force of our time. With Stargate UAE, we are building AI infrastructure that powers the UAE's bold vision," said Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia.
The project is part of a series of AI collaborations announced during the Trump administration's Middle East trip last week, and marks the first international version of the $100 billion joint AI infrastructure initiative unveiled in January by OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank.
