TechFlow, May 21 — According to The Block, on May 20 the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced a delay in its decision deadline for the XRP trust fund filings submitted by 21Shares and Grayscale, as well as Grayscale's Dogecoin trust fund ETF proposal. In the filing, the SEC stated that the delay is due to legal and policy issues involved in these proposals, and emphasized that this does not indicate the commission has reached any conclusions on the matters. Meanwhile, the SEC also postponed its decision on Bitwise’s proposal for an Ethereum ETF with staking capabilities. Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst James Seyffart noted that regardless of who leads the SEC, the agency typically uses its full review period, with approvals potentially coming as early as late June or early July, though more likely at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
