TechFlow news, on May 20, according to The Block, the developers behind the Bancor protocol have filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Uniswap Labs and the Uniswap Foundation. The lawsuit was jointly initiated by Bprotocol Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting Bancor protocol development, and LocalCoin Ltd., the original developer of Bancor, accusing Uniswap of using its Constant Product Automated Market Maker (CPAMM) infrastructure without authorization.
Mark Richardson, project lead at Bancor, stated that Uniswap has used their patented technology without permission over the past eight years, and they must take legal action to protect their technological rights. The case has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, seeking unspecified damages.
