TechFlow news, May 20 — Xavier, founder of Tabi, pointed out that past success of public blockchains often relied on innovative applications within their ecosystems, such as ETH's ICO and DeFi Summer. However, as the industry matures, this traditional path has gradually become ineffective.
He mentioned that HyperliquidX, as a prime example of the "fat application, thin protocol" model, demonstrates a new direction for future blockchain development. Compared to numerous DApps, future blockchains should focus more on the appchain model to enhance efficiency and practicality, with appchains likely becoming the key to the next generation of successful blockchains.
In addition, Xavier affirmed Cosmos' contributions in the appchain domain. Concepts ranging from account abstraction to inter-chain communication have provided important theoretical foundations for the future development of Layer 1 blockchains.
