TechFlow news, May 20 — According to an official announcement from Lido, the Lido DAO has released a framework for the "Auxiliary Proposer Mechanism" (APM), designed to help node operators securely adopt new Ethereum block-building tools such as proposer-builder separation (PBS) and pre-confirmations, improving efficiency and rewards while preserving decentralization. The APM framework consists of three layers: mechanisms (e.g., PBS), protocols (e.g., MEV-Boost), and auxiliary tools (e.g., Commit-Boost). To ensure secure deployment, Lido proposes establishing an APM Committee responsible for evaluating, approving, and maintaining a list of approved APMs, ensuring they align with the values of Ethereum and Lido. The proposal has now been submitted to the Lido governance forum, and community voting will soon commence.
