TechFlow news, May 15 — According to The Block, crypto market maker Wintermute announced it will open its first U.S. headquarters in Lower Manhattan, New York City, on June 1. The company also appointed policy veteran Ron Hammond as Head of Policy and Advocacy. Hammond previously served as Senior Director of Government Relations at the Blockchain Association and contributed to the development of multiple cryptocurrency regulatory bills.
"As U.S. policies toward digital assets and blockchain innovation become increasingly favorable, we've decided to move quickly to establish roots in New York City, the world's financial capital," said Wintermute CEO Evgeny Gaevoy. This move comes amid the Trump administration's supportive stance toward the crypto industry, including appointing leaders favorable to crypto at key regulatory agencies.
