TechFlow, May 15 — According to former Fox News reporter Eleanor Terrett, a bipartisan group of senators is nearing consensus on the text of the GENIUS Act. After failing last Thursday to secure enough votes to end debate, negotiations resumed on Monday and have since made progress.
Senate leadership is currently discussing procedural pathways to advance the bill, including amendment procedures and motions to reconsider. Under current plans, the Senate aims to hold a final vote before the Memorial Day recess and before the start of reconciliation proceedings, although the exact timeline may shift depending on whether a procedural agreement with Democrats can be reached.
