TechFlow news, May 14 — According to France24, French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau will convene cryptocurrency industry professionals this Friday to discuss measures against the rising number of abduction incidents targeting crypto entrepreneurs. This move comes in rapid response to an incident in central Paris where armed men attempted to kidnap the daughter and grandson of a cryptocurrency exchange CEO. Recently, France has seen multiple violent abduction cases targeting cryptocurrency millionaires, including the severe incident where David Balland, co-founder of Ledger, was kidnapped and had his finger severed. The interior minister stated that measures will be taken to protect the safety of cryptocurrency professionals and their families, and pledged to pursue criminals "no matter where they hide."
