TechFlow, May 14 — According to FORTUNE, JPMorgan announced today that it has completed a settlement transaction on a public ledger with the help of cryptocurrency firms Chainlink and Ondo Finance. Previously, JPMorgan used a private blockchain network accessible only to clients. In this transaction, Kinexys' digital payment network provided a permissioned blockchain network for depositing accounts used in payment settlements; Ondo's blockchain provided a next-generation Layer 1 blockchain specifically built for scaling real-world asset tokenization, along with its flagship product, the tokenized U.S. Treasury bond fund (OUSG).
This innovative DvP (Delivery versus Payment) solution completed the first-ever transaction on the Ondo blockchain testnet. JPMorgan’s Kinexys permissioned digital payment network successfully settled the first transaction involving Ondo Finance’s tokenized fund (OUSG) on the Ondo blockchain, while integrating Chainlink as a secure cross-chain coordination layer.
