TechFlow news, May 6 — According to Decrypt, Kenya's High Court ruled on Monday that Worldcoin, a project founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, violated the country's data privacy laws. The court ordered the company to delete all collected biometric data under the supervision of the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) within seven days. The ruling stated that the project had incentivized users to provide biometric information in exchange for cryptocurrency payments without obtaining proper authorization. This makes Kenya the second country this month, after Indonesia, to impose restrictions on Worldcoin.
