Data showed that the average daily fluctuation of the won against the dollar was 9.7 won, with a volatility rate of 0.67%, more than doubling compared to March (4.3 won, 0.29%), hitting a new high since November 2022. In November 2022, amid expectations that the Federal Reserve might slow its rate hikes, exchange rates experienced even greater volatility, with an average daily fluctuation of 12.3 won at that time.
