TechFlow news, April 30 — According to Decrypt, Adi Shamir, co-inventor of the RSA encryption algorithm and Turing Award winner, said at the RSA security conference in San Francisco that "the world would be better off without cryptocurrency." He pointed out that although the Bitcoin whitepaper proposed noble ideals, cryptocurrencies today are highly concentrated in a few large exchanges, primarily used for speculation rather than payments, and have contributed to the spread of malware.
