Prior to joining Coinbase, Salama served in roles including Global Head of Anti-Financial Crime and General Counsel for the Americas at Deutsche Bank. Paul Grewal stated that compliance is central to Coinbase's business, and expressed confidence that Salama will be effective in his role from day one.
