TechFlow news, April 26 — Gitcoin announced it will shut down the Grants Stack technology and its main software development division, Gitcoin Labs, by the end of May 2025 due to insufficient profitability. As part of this restructuring, Gitcoin will discontinue the Grants Stack tools and the Allo Protocol funding mechanism, but will continue maintaining the Human Passport system and focus on its core Gitcoin Grants funding program. Gitcoin stated that existing technologies will be smoothly transitioned, and grant funding is expected to remain available until 2029.
