TechFlow, April 14 — According to Barrons, the European Union announced it will suspend retaliatory tariffs on $21 billion worth of U.S. goods until July 14, 2025. The move aims to create space for negotiations with Washington. EU Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis arrived in Washington on Monday to meet with U.S. officials, seeking to reach an agreement before the 90-day deadline. The European Commission stated that while it is still preparing countermeasures against the U.S. 20% tariffs, Brussels clearly wants to avoid taking retaliatory actions, calling the American tariffs "unreasonable and harmful," which could damage both economies and the global economy.
