TechFlow news, April 7: Trump posted on his social media account stating, "China announced yesterday its imposition of an additional 34% tariff on the United States, a new measure added on top of its existing tariffs, non-monetary tariffs, illegal corporate subsidies, and long-term exchange rate manipulation. I have previously made it clear that if any country imposes additional retaliatory tariffs on the U.S., beyond their pre-existing long-term abuse of tariffs, the U.S. will respond immediately with even higher tariffs.
Therefore, if China does not revoke this additional 34% tariff by April 8, 2025, the United States will impose a new 50% tariff on Chinese goods starting April 9. Furthermore, the U.S. will terminate all talks requested by China. At the same time, the U.S. will immediately begin negotiations with other countries that have requested discussions. Thank you for your attention to this matter."
