TechFlow, April 7 — According to Jinshi Data citing financial website Forexlive, a headline regarding comments by National Economic Council Director Hassett triggered significant market movements. "U.S. President Trump is considering suspending tariffs on certain countries for 90 days." Within minutes, the news spread widely, but appeared to be fake. Some cited CNBC for discussing the rumor, though they did not report it. Others claimed ABC News reported it, but that also appears false. The massive buying in the U.S. stock market subsequently reversed.
