TechFlow reports on February 22, an X account @ascom_pmbjs impersonating Myanmar's acting president Min Aung Hlaing posted multiple false messages claiming that Myanmar will issue a national cryptocurrency.
Although the account has a verification badge, it was recently created and its first post—published this morning—declared that the "Myanmar National Coin will be launched today." The account also disables comment interaction, showing clear signs of scam activity.
Users should remain vigilant against such risks to avoid being defrauded.
