TechFlow reports on February 8, renowned rapper Kanye West announced on social media that he received a $2 million offer to launch a cryptocurrency token, which he rejected, subsequently halting collaboration with the proposing party.
According to chat screenshots released by Kanye, the proposed collaboration required him to promote a scammy Meme coin known as a "RUG" project. The deal involved an upfront payment of $750,000, and after posting for eight hours, Kanye could claim his account had been hacked; then, after 16 hours, another $1.25 million would be paid. The mastermind behind the proposal claimed this scheme could generate tens of millions of dollars in profit.
