TechFlow reports on February 7, according to Artnews, that Justin Sun has filed a lawsuit against billionaire collector David Geffen in Manhattan federal court, demanding the return of Alberto Giacometti's sculpture "Le Nez" (The Nose) or substantial compensation.
According to the court documents, Xiong Zihan Sydney, a former advisor to Sun, sold the sculpture—purchased by Sun for $78.4 million at Sotheby's in 2021—to Geffen without authorization, using forged signatures and fabricating a lawyer's identity. The transaction included two paintings valued at $55 million and $10.5 million in cryptocurrency. Geffen's legal team called the lawsuit "ridiculous and entirely baseless."
