TechFlow news, according to CoinDesk, U.S. law firms Burwick Law and Wolf Popper LLP issued a cease-and-desist letter on February 6, demanding that the crypto platform Pump.Fun immediately remove DOGSHIT2 and other meme tokens imitating the law firm, which were launched on the Solana blockchain.
The action follows a class-action lawsuit filed by Burwick Law against Pump.Fun in January over alleged violations of securities laws. The connection between the DOGSHIT2 token and the law firm emerged from evidence submitted by Burwick Law during its earlier litigation, where the firm sought to demonstrate how easily tokens could be issued on the platform.
Currently, the controversial token's price has surged nearly 200%. In their statement, both law firms emphasized they have never issued any meme coins and accused Pump.Fun of attempting to intimidate parties involved in litigation and disrupt judicial proceedings through these tokens, vowing to pursue all legal remedies available.
