Storm is facing U.S. Department of Justice charges for allegedly facilitating the laundering of over $1 billion through the cryptocurrency mixer.

Storm and his co-founder Roman Semenov were indicted by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2023 on money laundering-related charges. Prosecutors allege they helped process illicit funds, including assets tied to the North Korean hacker group Lazarus. If convicted, Storm faces up to 45 years in prison.
