TechFlow reported on January 26 that, according to Blocknews, Petrobras, one of the world's top ten oil companies, launched a blockchain R&D project in January 2025, covering areas such as Bitcoin mining, asset tokenization, and consensus mechanism applications. The project will be carried out jointly with institutions including the Cenpes Research Center, Petrobras University, and Ledger Labs at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, Petrobras had already partnered with the Cardano Foundation by the end of 2023 to issue 500 dynamic NFTs for employee blockchain training.
