TechFlow news — According to official announcements, Arena of Faith implements a multi-scenario driven natural deflation mechanism whereby a certain percentage of fees or tokens are burned through player participation, further regulating the token economy and enhancing the long-term ecological stability of the game.
In this burn event, a total of 977,120.12 $ACP tokens were destroyed. These tokens originated from two sources of consumption since the launch of the MOBA game AoF:
First, in-game function burns: service fees in $ACP for features such as name changes, exchanges, team creation, and account boosting will be burned, reducing the circulating supply of tokens.
Second, on-chain asset burns: service fees in $ACP incurred during operations such as minting NFTs (hero cards, battle flags, avatars, skins), asset staking, redemption, upgrades, and synthesis will be burned to regulate market supply.
In addition, AoF has announced the sale of classic hero card NFTs starting January 22, during which $ACP generated from minting hero cards will also be destroyed.
Furthermore, AoF will add two additional sources of token consumption: First, DeFi participation burn — users can burn $ACP by participating in DeFi activities. On January 22, AoF will launch a staking campaign offering 100% ARP annualized yield, where the staked $ACP principal will be burned, and users will receive up to 200% $ACP rewards after a 100-day lock-up period. Second, platform ecosystem burn — by integrating advertising and in-app purchase revenues from Web2 games, a portion of the income will be used to buy back and burn $ACP from the market, further optimizing the in-game economic ecosystem and increasing the long-term value of the token.
Arena of Faith is a flagship fully on-chain esports web3 gaming ecosystem with globally interconnected servers, backed by investments from Tencent, Animoca Brands, Immutable, YGG Global, and strongly promoted by MetisL2. Its native token $ACP will officially go live on Gate at 18:00 (UTC+8) on January 21, 2025 (today).
