TechFlow news — On January 9, according to The Block, Web3 infrastructure company Mysten Labs announced the appointment of former Chief Legal Officer Kevin Boon as its new President. Boon stated that the company plans to launch the mainnet of Walrus Protocol, a decentralized storage platform built on the Sui blockchain, in early 2025.
As a public blockchain originated from Meta's former Diem project, Sui already supports top-tier stablecoins such as USDC. During the upcoming Trump administration, Boon intends to leverage potential shifts in the regulatory environment, focusing particularly on stablecoin legislation, and actively pursue additional use cases and partnership opportunities for stablecoin projects on Sui.
